At the 36th WAGGGS World Conference, Motion 32 was passed asking the World Board to investigate why more young women are not standing for governance positions within the Movement.
The Young Women Research Team was created to find out the reasons and provide recommendations for improving this.
The answers collected in these surveys will help the team to write a report, with suggestions to overcome any barriers stopping more young women from taking up decision making roles within the Movement. This will then be presented at the next world conference.
