The WAGGGS Europe Region Sustainability Working Group is excited to share with you the concept paper, WAGGGS Europe Region and Sustainable Development.
It is intended to be used as a framework for all activities within the Europe Region, as proposed at the European Conference in Split.
This paper:
- Defines what sustainable development means to our region.
- Sets out how the Europe Region plays its part as a role model for sustainable development: looking from local to regional level and our wider influence.
- Highlights how the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting non-formal educational method facilitates all our members to be responsible citizens of the world.
The Sustainability Working Group is continuing to develop guidelines of further actions on sustainable development that will complement the concept paper.
