European Scout Region: Events Calendar 2021

The European Scout Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is pleased to share with you an update of the list of upcoming events for 2021.

In view of the ongoing current public health situation and as agreed by the European Scout Committee and the World Scout Bureau Europe Support Centre, events will continue to be organised in digital form until further notice. Some Regional Events are projected to potentially take place in person, later in 2021, pending the evolution of the health situation and upon an in-depth assessment of their viability.

Subject to further developments, there may be some changes concerning events currently listed, but it was felt important to share a comprehensive list as soon as possible to assist in your planning. We invite you all to monitor Regional Circularsas well as event notices on We Connect (https://weconnect.eu.com/), our website managed in partnership with WAGGGS, as well as on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ScoutinginEurope/).

Regional Opportunities Online

Following our previous successful experiences, the European Scout Region is glad to introduce a new series of “Stronger Together” online campfires to further facilitate networking and exchanges between the members. The “Stronger Together” campfires – will be launched on the 23 February 2021 and will then take place every Tuesday at 19h00 CET, lasting from 1 to 2 hours. Each time the Campfires will focus on a different topic and target a different audience. Topics and audiences are detailed in the attached overview (Annex A).

These “Stronger Together” Online Campfires address a need expressed by many Scout Associations during the recent consultations completed in relation to reviewing the impact of COVID-19 on your respective associations. They will offer spaces for connecting with peers having the same function in Scouting. Participants will exchange practices and ideas around the current challenges and opportunities faced by Scout Associations in Europe. We believe that mutual learning will further ensure the strength and solidarity of Scouting demonstrated back in 2020.

Participants are requested to register using this form. The form will remain open, but you are kindly invited to register at least 5 days before the Campfire takes place to receive relevant information to connect with us.
