International Commissioners Forum 2024

Malta Girl Guides and The Scout Association of Malta, together with WAGGGS and WOSM, are delighted to invite you to register for the International Commissioners’ Forum, set against the beautiful backdrop of Malta in December 2024. 
 

Aim of the Forum 

The Forum aims to provide a platform for International Commissioners across Europe to connect and network with other organisations, develop and provide strategic direction for the Regions of WAGGGS and WOSM and receive updates on ongoing projects and joint initiatives. 
 

Dates and Venue 

The IC Forum 2024 is scheduled for 5-8 December 2024. The programme will start on Thursday, 5 December 2024 at dinner time (approximately 19:00) and finish on Sunday, 8 December 2024 at noon. The event will take place in the AX Odycy Hotel, Qawra, Malta.
 

Participants Profile 

We are looking for participants to join the IC Forum 2024 who are:
  • International Commissioners.
  • Members of International Teams (with the endorsement of the relevant International Commissioner).
  • Able to communicate in English.

Language

The working Language of the IC Forum will be English.
 

Registration and participation fee 

Applications for participation can be completed using the IC Forum Registration form before 30 September 2024
 
Participants who have difficulties with the fees and travelling costs should contact either Regional Office to request information on the possibility of financial assistance from the Regions.

What is included? 
  • Accommodation for 3 nights (5, 6 and 7 December 2024) in a twin room, single or triple room, depending on your selection. 
  • Meals: 
    • Thursday 5 December (dinner) 
    • Friday 6 December (breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 coffee breaks) 
    • Saturday 7 December (breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 coffee breaks) 
    • Sunday 8 December (breakfast, 1 coffee break) 
  • Wifi and access to the venue facilities 
  • Materials for the programme 
  • Social activity 
 

Cancellation policy 

Cancellations made before 6 October 2024 will be possible. After this date, cancellations will not be refundable; however, registrations can be transferred to another individual until 17 November.
  
After 17 November 2024, substitutions will not be possible, and the registration fee will be forfeited. In the case of unforeseeable circumstances, please contact europe@scout.org and europe@wagggs.org immediately. 
We would like to gather an estimated number of participants for the European Guide and Scout Conference (EGSC) 2025. To facilitate this, we have included an extra question in the IC Forum registration form where you can indicate the number of participants your organisation plans to register for the EGSC. Please register as soon as possible to provide us with additional information.
 

Visa and Travel Arrangements 

Confirmed participants will be responsible for making their travel arrangements. Please DO NOT book your flights or trains before receiving a confirmation letter from the European Scout Region of WOSM or WAGGGS Europe Region.  
 
If you need a visa letter, please send an email to europe@scout.org and europe@wagggs.org.  
 

Insurance   

The European Scout Region of WOSM and WAGGGS Europe Region does not cover participants’ risks during the event or travel to or from the venue. Please note that it is the exclusive responsibility of the participant’s national association to check and be sure that the risks of participants are covered by insurance (illness, accidents, repatriation, etc).
