The European Scout Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) is pleased to provide this update on Funding Opportunities available to Member Organisations (NSOs and NSAs) in Europe.
This document is a working tool for all NSOs and NSAs in the European Scout Region, aiming to offer comprehensive information about the different funding opportunities available in Europe to support NSOs and NSAs in their development. Particular attention is given to deadlines and procedures to enable you to be aware of the amount of time and preparation required for an application.
Almost tripled EU budget for youth projects 2021 -2027
We are happy to announce that the EU budget 2021-2027 for youth projects has almost tripled thanks to the collective advocacy efforts of the European Scout Region together with peer youth organisations in the European Youth Forum. The budgets allocated for youth projects are respectively EUR 2.4 billion for Erasmus+ and EUR 1 billion for European Solidarity Corps. These two programmes are offering many new opportunities, including support for youth initiatives and volunteering at local or national level that can boost scouting locally.
Simplified access through Accreditation
To secure access to these funds, we would like to draw your attention to the Erasmus+ youth accreditation and the European Solidarity Corps Quality label. These are both important accreditations because they will give you simplified and priority access to the EU funds in the coming years. The World Scout Bureau Europe Support Centre and your Erasmus National Agency are available to support you in this process.
