Record of Decisions, November 2020

The end of 2020 is slowly approaching. A year which has been very different by all means. The global COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly affected our Scouting plans and operations. Nonetheless, the impressively impactful initiatives which Scouts all over Europe have been undertaking since March, continue to inspire all of us and drive Scouting forward.

Many of you as well as members of your leadership continued to relentlessly adapt to the new realities, staying engaged and alert. We know this autumn is different. Many are reporting changes affecting their conditions, motivation and engagement. Together with you we are adapting to these new realities and tailoring our support. Without any doubt, these are difficult times for our organisations but if there is a Movement that can make it through, continue adapting, innovating and contributing to a positive change, it is certainly Scouting.

The work of the European Scout Region has not stopped either. The European Scout Committee met for its fourth business meeting, again fully conducted online. We are pleased to provide you with a short update.

As per our practice, we share herewith the Record of Decisions of our fourth business meeting  – #transparency. This record provides a general overview of the progress we have made as well as the areas we continue to focus on. Any additional information can be requested via the Europe Support Centre (europe@scout.org) or your respective Committee Contact.

Our team, together with the staff of the Europe Support Centre, will continue to monitor the situation and provide support where needed. We invite you all to explore the WOSM Services platform and we look forward to connecting with you soon over one of the upcoming online events.
