Last weekend, we completed our sixth business meeting, which was the fourth meeting held online. By now, we met online twice, as much as in-person and recognising that we have only one year left of the triennium.
Our journey continues to be inspiring filled with learning, growth, and innovation. We are excited to start seeing some in-person gathering at national levels and look forward to seeing more opportunities for Scouts in summer, prioritising health and safety.
On a regional level, we continued to create spaces of togetherness and connectivity where members can meet to exchange, learn, and reach out for support.
As per our practise, we are happy to share the Record of Decisions of our sixth business meeting – #transparency. This record provides a general overview of the progress we have made as well as the areas we continue to focus on. You can request any additional information via the Europe Support Centre (europe@scout.org) or your respective Committee Contact.
During our meeting we also:
- Met with the Coordinators of the Operational Framework: Lana Husagić, Beatričė Leiputė and Laura Neijenhuis:
- We received a full update on the progress made implementing the Regional Scout Plan 2019-2022. Check the overall progress here https://rsp.scouthub.org/.
- We are all very excited about the tailored process to develop the 2022-2025 Regional Scout Plan.
- We take this opportunity to extend our sincere appreciation to all the members of the Regional Operational Framework, Team Purple, the Regional Consultants and staff members for their continued engagement and work. We realise the different difficulties you have faced over the past months. Thank you for staying engaged, for staying motivated, for encouraging your peers and team members. Without you, none of this would be possible.
- We received an update on the Growth Potential Project. We are very encouraged with the progress of this project in many of the targeted NSOs and extend here again an invitation to any other NSO wishing to focus on its growth potential to reach out to us! We also followed up on work supporting the development of Scouting in Albania and Kosovo.
- We covered the regional uptake in Safe from Harm, focusing on both our ongoing funded project and additional targeted WOSM Services.
- We took the opportunity to connect with the Regional Directors of the WSB – Asia-Pacific Region, Jose Rizal C. Pangilinan and WSB – Eurasia Region, Srinath Tirumale Venugopal, looking at how we can continue to support and encourage bilateral partnerships between NSOs in due time.
We continue to be amazed by the incredible work each Member Organisation is deploying. We look forward to continuing working with you, learning from your projects and initiatives and support where needed through our WOSM Services.
Until we connect again, we wish you all a great summer!
