November is going to be a full month: The Academy and the Juliette Low seminar will follow each other in just few weeks. We encourage you to make sure your organisation is represented in both events!
The Academy is a yearly modular training event, in which participants will be able to compose their own training plan to match their position and particular needs. It is a joint event that WAGGGS and WOSM organise together.
The Juliette Low Seminar only takes place once every three years. It is a continuous 1-week training and this year the focus will be on how to tackle gender barriers to leadership. At the end of this week, participants will be fully prepared to implement a project in their community according to their community needs. It is WAGGGS’ flagship leadership development event for young people.
For the latter, we are happy to tell you that we have secured additional funding to support more participants from WAGGGS Europe Region to participate.
The participation fee is £600 (travel not included), but you can now benefit from two distinct scholarships:
- 75% programme scholarship offered to participants who are attending a JLS hub outside of Europe.
- 25% programme scholarship offered to participants who are attending a JLS hub inside of Europe
