Then become the next WAGGGS Content Manager for the Planning Team of The Academy 2026!
What is the Academy?
The Academy is a networking and training event for Guides and Scouts in decision-making positions in their Associations that takes place every year around October/November. For five days, around 200 Scouts and Guides from all over Europe come together to learn and exchange. The event aims to provide space for training and sharing experiences in many aspects of Guiding and Scouting through a holistic approach. During the event, participants will learn more about the most relevant initiatives, projects, and networks developed by WAGGGS and WOSM as well as European MOs and NSOs. This means that the Academy is also the place to present best practices and tools developed by MOs and NSOs to a wider audience and engage in meaningful discussions.
At the same time, it is a structured event responding to a set of common topics and guidelines that represent the work of the Region. It reflects both WAGGGS’ Triennial Action Plan and WOSM’s Scout Plan and the Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations on a European level.
