DESCRIPTION:Calling all Rovers! Join us in Slovakia for Agora 2019 – an event run for Rovers by Rovers. \n  \nThe 2019 edition of Agora\, the European Scout Region’s peer-organised event for representatives of the senior age section of Member Organisations will take place at the Banská Štiavnica Scout Centre in Slovakia from 10 to 14 April 2019. Members of the senior age section will discuss age section related best practices and challenges encountered in their associations.\n \nThis is an event that is run “for Rovers\, by Rovers” that uses the Scout Method to reach the educational objectives for the Rover age section. This event looks at issues that are important and relevant to younger generations in today’s society.\n \nThroughout Agora 2019 the participants will: \n\nHave a safe space to share\, discuss\, and promote self-confidence;\nExperience a good balance between diverse training methodologies as well as indoor and outdoor activities;\nBe equipped with tools for effective communication with a diverse audience;\nReflect on possible innovations to keep the Rover Programme relevant in the future;\nGet to know the Sustainable Development Goals and how to adapt them in a practical way;\nBe given the chance to take part in a community service project.\n\nParticipants’ Profile\nAny Rover from any recognised NSA/NSO of the European Region is welcomed to be a participant at Agora. The participants should be aware of the Rover Programme of their own NSA/NSO and how it is implemented. The participant should also be eager to learn\, share experiences and be open to new ways of Scouting methods. \nThe ability to speak and write in English is also really important. \nLanguages\nThe working language of the Agora is English to facilitate all exchanges among participants. \nPlanning Team\nThe Planning Team of the Agora 2019 is composed of: \n\nLuis García (Portugal)\nCaoimhe FitzGibbon (Ireland)\nTiago Alves (Luxembourg)\nEgle Sipaviciute (Iceland)\n\nDate and Venue\nThe WOSM Europe Agora 2019 will start on Wednesday 10 April 2019 and end on Sunday 14 April 2019. The event will be held at the Banská Štiavnica Scout Centre in Slovakia. \nPlease note registrations closed on 15 March 2019.\n \nParticipation Fee\nThe standard participation fee is EUR 250. Cet événement porte sur des questions importantes et pertinentes pour les jeunes générations dans la société d’aujourd’hui.\n \nTout au long de l’Agora 2019\, les participants vont: \n\nAvoir un espace sécuritaire pour partager\, discuter et promouvoir la confiance en soi;\nVivre l’expérience d’un bon équilibre entre les différentes méthodologies de formation ainsi que les activités intérieures et extérieures;\nÊtre doté d’outils pour communiquer efficacement avec un public diversifié;\nRéfléchir sur les innovations possibles pour garder le Programme de la branche Routiers pertinent à l’avenir;\nApprendre à connaître les Objectifs de développement durable et comment les adapter de manière pratique;\nAvoir la chance de participer à un projet de service communautaire.\n\nProfile des participants\nTout membre de la branche ainée (routier) d’une Organisation membre reconnue de la Région Européenne est invité à participer à l’Agora. Le participant doit être au courant du Programme de la branche routier de sa propre Organisation membre et de la manière dont il est mis en œuvre. Le participant doit également être désireux d’apprendre\, de partager ses expériences et d’être ouvert à de nouvelles méthodes du Scoutisme. \nLa capacité de parler et d’écrire en anglais est également très importante. \nLangues\nLa langue de travail de l’Agora est l’anglais pour faciliter tous les échanges entre les participants. \nÉquipe de planification\nL’Équipe de planification de l’Agora 2019 est composé de: \n\nLuis Garcia (Portugal)\nCaoimhe FitzGibbon (Irlande)\nTiago Alves (Luxembourg)\nEgle Sipaviciute (Islande)\n\nDates et lieu de l’événement\nL’Agora européenne de l’OMMS 2019 débutera le mercredi 10 avril 2019 et se terminera le dimanche 14 avril 2019.
