SUMMARY:The Academy 2019
DESCRIPTION:Join us this November at The Academy – a unique Scout and Guide event designed to provide participants with high quality training and networking opportunities around the core priorities of WAGGGS and WOSM European Regions. \nWho should attend The Academy? \nThe event is open to everyone holding a position at National or Regional Level in any of our Associations\, from members of particular working groups to Chief Commissioners. \n\nHow to register for The Academy? \nThe registration will be open until 10 October and you can register online here: \nhttps://eu.eventscloud.com/ereg/newreg.php?eventid=200193044& \n Please note that you must have your International Commissioner’s approval to register.  \n\nThe participation fee is EUR 290 and includes accommodation in a shared room  (triple\, quadruple)\, full board\, two coffee breaks (per day)\, lunch & dinner\, use of conference rooms and free internet access. Special requests such as single rooms will be assessed upon availability and at an extra cost. \n\nTravel arrangements \nAll participants should make their own travel arrangements and\, if necessary\, obtain a visa. If you require an official invitation letter to obtain a visa please complete all information in the application form. Please be aware that it may take a significant amount of time to obtain a visa so please apply early enough. \nParticipants wishing to attend the full event will be expected to arrive on Saturday 2 November to start the programme at 19.30 (following the provided dinner)\, and departure is at any time on Thursday 7 November 2019. \nInformation on travel to Kranjska Gora\, through Ljubljana and nearby International Airports\, will be soon available on the official Academy website. \n\nFunding to support participation \nWe are happy to inform you that we have grants available for each MO/NSO/NSA. We will contact you directly for further information on the support. \nParticipants who have difficulties with the fee and travelling costs should contact in confidence their WOSM Regional Director or their WAGGGS Member Organisation Relationship Manager to request information on the possibility of financial assistance from the Region. \n  \nAdditional information \nThe event will be held in English.
